Back in business ... how to spend your quarantine in style!
As Thailand is gradually opening its borders for tourists, you will still have to spend a two-weeks quarantine in a so called ASQ (Alternative State Quarantine) hotel.
I have decided to stay here because the COMO has the largest rooms available in Bangkok, the so called Penthouse Suite with more than 150 sqm over two floors. This was a great decision as you would never feel locked in. You would have the feeling of staying at a generous apartment - office, living room and kitchen included.
Another great advantage is the food offering. You can choose from a variety of dishes, Thai and international, all tasty and healthy. Three two course meals and afternoon tea per day are included in the ASQ rate and that is a lot of food! If you want to treat yourself to a more sophisticated meal, you can order food from the award winning restaurant NAHM - obviously not included in the rate.
The medical service is provided by the nearby BNH hospital. Our nurse was very attentive and professional. Once you have passed your first of two Corona tests with a negative result on day 5, you can spend an hour a day by the pool or in the fitness room.
A word about the service - it is excellent. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel very welcome. Throughout the stay, they checked in regularly to ensure that everything is ok and that we have all we need.
Looking forward to our holidays in Thailand but we will certainly miss the hospitality of the COMO Metropolitan.
